The position requires strong multitasking, rapid prioritisation, and close collaboration with engineering, project management, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment between customer requirements, cost targets, supplier strategy, and delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate customer and project requirements into actionable procurement activities, ensuring timely quotation, negotiation, and tracking of materials and services.
  • Manage overlapping RFQs, supplier negotiations, and project milestones while continuously prioritising based on urgency and business impact.
  • Execute both direct and indirect procurement activities, including sourcing of project materials, services, tooling, consumables, and other operational requirements.
  • Support forecasting of material requirements in alignment with project schedules and sales inputs, where required.
  • Coordinate with logistics and finance teams to ensure accurate delivery, receiving, and payment processes for third-party goods
  • Work closely with engineering, project management, quality, and sales teams to ensure procurement alignment with technical and commercial requirements.
  • Provide regular updates on procurement status, risks, and mitigation actions, highlighting cross-project and regional impacts.
  • Participate in project meetings to support alignment on scope changes, timelines, and procurement priorities.
  • Support engineering change processes and assess procurement impact, contributing to early-stage sourcing decisions for cost optimisation.
  • Act as a regional procurement reference point for assigned categories, supporting alignment of sourcing strategies and best practices across locations.
  • Own and manage assigned category strategy (including cables), ensuring alignment between global strategy, regional execution, and project requirements.
  • Define, document, and implement category strategies while managing regional deviations where justified.
  • Provide supplier recommendations balancing cost, lead time, risk, compliance, and regional supply constraints.
  • Monitor supplier performance and proactively resolve delivery, quality, and commercial issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, including material replenishment planning and strategic engagement.
  • Continuously reprioritise procurement activities based on evolving customer and project demands across regions
  • Ensure early involvement of procurement in project stages to optimise sourcing outcomes.
  • Identify procurement risks and propose mitigation strategies while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations.
  • Support supplier audits, providing updates and findings to management.
  • Support sustainability initiatives through ethical sourcing and environmentally responsible procurement practices.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export controls, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Perform additional procurement and sourcing tasks as required to support business and operational needs.

  • Knowledge of supplier performance management and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365 (preferred).
  • Understanding of international trade compliance and export control requirements.
