Job Summary The Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, maintaining, and enhancing physical security systems and cybersecurity infrastructure to safeguard the organisation’s assets, facilities, networks, systems, and data. This role supports both operational and project requirements by conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with security standards, troubleshooting technical issues, and delivering reliable security solutions across construction, commercial, industrial, and data centre environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, configure, and maintain physical and cybersecurity systems and infrastructure.
Lead and execute detailed civil and structural engineering designs for reinforced concrete and steel structures in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
Ensure all engineering designs comply with local building regulations and international design standards, including Eurocodes where applicable.
Manage projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from tendering and design development to construction completion.
Review and approve engineering calculations, shop drawings, technical submissions, and method statements.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior and graduate engineers.
Lead technical coordination with architectural, MEP, geotechnical, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project execution.
Utilise structural analysis and design software to develop accurate engineering models and optimise structural solutions.
Identify and resolve complex engineering challenges while ensuring quality, safety, and project objectives are achieved.
Technical Expertise
Strong expertise in the design of reinforced concrete and steel structures for building projects.
Comprehensive knowledge of local building regulations and international design codes, including Eurocodes.
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ESTEEM, STAAD.Pro, SAFE, ETABS, SAP2000, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of project delivery, construction methodologies, and technical coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical review capabilities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage clients, consultants, and contractors effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 to 8 years' postgraduate experience in structural design for building projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification or registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or an equivalent professional body is highly preferred.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects while delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
