Job Summary
The Security Manager is responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of security and incident management systems within the assigned operating centre. This role ensures effective coordination of security personnel across projects, sites, and business entities, while safeguarding personnel, assets, operations, and reputation through proactive risk management, compliance, and incident response strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide contractual support and advisory services to project teams in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain security and incident management systems in alignment with global standards and organisational requirements.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with regional and corporate security teams.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and advisory support to business leaders and project teams on security-related matters.
  • Develop and maintain a robust local and regional security network.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage external security service providers in compliance with procurement and security standards.
  • Conduct security risk assessments, threat analysis, and vulnerability assessments across sites and projects.
  • Monitor and analyse security intelligence to identify emerging threats and risks impacting personnel, operations, and assets.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective physical, technical, and procedural security measures aligned with global standards.
  • Ensure timely closure of identified security gaps and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Ensure travel security compliance in accordance with established travel risk management frameworks.
  • Lead incident management preparedness, response, and training initiatives at regional and local levels.
  • Conduct investigations into security incidents and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Support internal audits and continuous improvement of security and incident management systems.
  • Prepare and deliver key security outputs, including risk assessments, security plans, audits, training programmes, and KPI reporting.
  • Manage emergency notification systems and ensure readiness for crisis situations.
  • Develop annual security roadmaps, objectives, and performance metrics.
  • Promote security awareness and training programmes across the organisation.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
  • Establish and maintain guidelines, processes, procedures, and templates to improve contract management practices.
  • Provide support and guidance to team members when required.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Technical Expertise
  • Strong expertise in security and incident management within corporate or energy sector environments.
  • Experience in conducting security risk, threat, and vulnerability assessments and implementing mitigation measures.
  • Knowledge of security technologies, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and monitoring systems.
  • Experience in developing and implementing incident and crisis management plans.
  • Sound understanding of regulatory compliance and duty-of-care practices, particularly for travel risk management.
  • Proven ability to conduct security audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills with the ability to manage complex security challenges.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in security or incident management within a corporate environment, or at least five (5) years’ management experience in the energy sector.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in standard IT tools, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Professional security certifications are an added advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage ambiguity in high-pressure environments.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to respond effectively during crisis situations.
