Job Summary
The Manager, Finance & Accounting is responsible for overseeing the organisation's financial and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. This role manages financial reporting, taxation, treasury, banking facilities, and stakeholder engagements while supporting business operations through accurate financial analysis and effective financial governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review accounting transactions to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company accounting policies.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate accounting entries and smooth financial operations.
  • Review financial transactions to identify tax implications and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
  • Oversee the timely preparation and submission of tax returns and ensure full compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor cash flow and fund management to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily business operations.
  • Manage banking facilities and ensure compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia's regulatory requirements.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Technical Expertise
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, accounting standards, and statutory reporting requirements
  • Sound understanding of corporate taxation, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and treasury operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external parties.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in corporate accounting, finance, and taxation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to build effective working relationships across functions and with external stakeholders.
  • Work location: Kuching, Sarawak. Preference will be given to Sarawakian candidates.
