Job Summary The Flow Assurance Engineer provides technical support to business workstreams and projects led by senior team members, contributing to the design, analysis, and delivery of flow assurance studies. This role is responsible for performing and developing flow assurance scopes of work, ensuring high-quality technical outputs within the discipline, and supporting engineering studies through simulation, analysis, and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and develop Flow Assurance scope of work in support of ongoing projects and studies.
Support senior engineers in the design and evaluation of engineering systems relevant to flow assurance.
Prepare engineering deliverables, calculations, and discipline-specific documentation.
Run proprietary and industry-standard simulation software following appropriate training and supervision.
Produce technical notes and reports to document study methodologies and results.
Assist in resolving routine discipline-specific technical issues under guidance.
Contribute to project data gathering, analysis, and technical content development.
Support estimation activities and cost inputs where required.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to resolve interface and technical matters.
Liaise effectively with project personnel from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
Demonstrate strong commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) standards in all activities.
Technical Expertise
Hands-on knowledge of flow assurance principles including steady-state and transient multiphase flow analysis.
Practical experience using simulation software such as OLGA, PIPESIM, PVTSim, and Multiflash.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret simulation results.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and data analysis.
Programming knowledge (e.g., VBA, Python) is an added advantage.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Qualifications
First Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum of 1–3 years’ dedicated experience in Flow Assurance within the oil and gas industry.
Proactive, enthusiastic team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
High level of initiative, adaptability, and flexibility in dynamic project environments.
