Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Fabrication Control Manager to oversee project control, planning, and schedule management across multiple module fabrication yards and piping fabrication yards for a large-scale LNG project. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate progress reporting, schedule integrity, productivity monitoring, and coordination between fabrication yards, operation centres, procurement, logistics, and client stakeholders during both LNTP and EPC phases. This position also serves as the central focal point for consolidation and reporting of overall fabrication progress, including Primavera P6 schedule updates and monthly client reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project control and planning activities across module fabrication yards and piping fabrication yards in multiple locations.
  • Manage and coordinate Project Control teams at each fabrication yard and ensure consistent reporting standards across all sites.
  • Develop standard reporting formats and ensure all Yard Project Control Managers comply with required reporting structures.
  • Review, analyse, and consolidate progress reports from all fabrication yards, providing direction and corrective actions where required.
  • Monitor and integrate module fabrication and piping fabrication schedules with the overall EPC schedule in coordination with the Schedule Controller.
  • Track and analyse actual productivity at fabrication yards, identifying deviations from planned performance and driving recovery or mitigation actions.
  • Coordinate closely with Procurement and Logistics teams to align module load-out schedules with vessel availability and site readiness.
  • Act as the key interface with client representatives on fabrication progress, productivity performance, and schedule recovery plans during EPC execution.
  • Collect, validate, and consolidate project control data (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) covering manpower, materials, equipment, engineering documentation, and fabrication progress.
  • Coordinate with international Operation Centres to gather progress updates, including Primavera P6 schedule data, and integrate into master reporting systems.

  • Prepare and issue consolidated monthly and weekly progress reports for client submission.
  • Identify schedule deviations, analyse root causes, and propose mitigation or recovery plans in collaboration with fabrication yards and project teams.
  • Support continuous improvement of project control processes, tools, and reporting systems.
  • Perform any other project control and planning duties as required by management.

Technical Expertise
  • Strong expertise in project controls, planning, and schedule management for large-scale Oil & Gas or LNG fabrication projects.
  • Hands-on experience in module fabrication yards and piping fabrication environments is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication productivity tracking, progress measurement systems, and schedule control methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 for schedule development, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Experience using Power BI and Power Query for data analysis and reporting dashboards.
  • Ability to consolidate multi-site project data into executive-level reports and client deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication workflows, logistics coordination, and module load-out operations.
  • Experience working with international project teams and Operation Centres across multiple locations.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret large datasets and drive corrective actions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas construction projects.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in project controls, planning, or scheduling roles (including Planning Manager, Project Engineer, Construction Engineer, or Schedule Controller roles).
  • Mandatory experience in module fabrication yard environments.
  • Strong experience in Primavera P6 is required.
  • Experience in Power BI / Power Query is highly advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in complex, multi-location, and fast-paced project environments.
