Job Summary
The AutoCAD Operator is responsible for preparing, developing, and updating technical drawings to support construction and infrastructure projects. Working closely with construction and site teams, this role ensures accurate and timely production of drawings in accordance with engineering specifications, project requirements, and construction schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed CAD drawings based on engineering sketches, specifications, and design requirements.
- Prepare and update technical drawings to reflect the latest project information and site conditions.
- Collaborate closely with Construction Managers, Site Engineers, and project teams to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and version control of project drawings and revisions.
- Support construction and engineering teams by providing drawing updates and technical drafting assistance throughout project execution.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve drawing discrepancies and technical issues.
- Deliver assigned drafting tasks within established project timelines.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Technical Expertise - Proficiency in AutoCAD for technical drafting and drawing production.
- Experience in preparing and updating construction and infrastructure project drawings.
- Familiarity with engineering and construction documentation standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of MicroStation is an added advantage.
- Understanding of lifting and erection-related projects is advantageous.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Qualifications - Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience supporting infrastructure or construction projects.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate technical drawings.
